Here’s a fun fact about my blog…if you subscribe to it using that box on the sidebar, you get copies of each post to your email inbox! It happens automatically on everything I “publish” meaning you also see the copies of posts BEFORE I catch all of the typos. That also means when I post something a little raw and vulnerable and then change my mind about it being public later…YOU have a copy that no one else can see!
If you have always been a subscriber, you should know I end up taking down about 1 out of every 20 posts so sometimes you see things no one else does!
For those of you who don’t subscribe, I wrote a raw post about parenting this weekend and realized it was probably a little too raw and may not be fair to any of my kids who might peruse through the archives in the future.
But for those of you who commented kindly and supportively before I took it down, THANK YOU! I especially love one of my real world friend’s comments that her kid doesn’t have patience for people who they know don’t like them. They can sense it and OH MY GOD, I think my kid does the same thing!
Anyway…I’m sorry to those of you who missed it. Sometimes I write things for me and then later realize that they might hurt the feelings of a vulnerable child at a later date and think better of leaving it in the archives.
Now! On to today! No more talk about the vanishing entries of yesterday! Today I will post something for the whole world to enjoy into eternity – subscribers or not!
Y’all. I want a Ta Ta Towel SO BAD.
Many times I finish a run and the boobsweat is terrible and but I don’t want to jump in the shower until I cool off but I can’t cool off unless I strip off my nasty sweaty clothes. Usually I wrap myself in a towel and just do chores until my body temp drops to normal but I CAN ALWAYS FEEL THE BOOB SWEAT DRIPPING DOWN MY BODY because I am a disgusting grody human.
THE TA TA TOWEL WOULD SOLVE THAT PROBLEM.
I know the world is laughing about it but many of us who have serious boob sweat issues but who still like to lounge around think this is the MOST GENIUS THING IN THE WORLD.
Let’s take a moment and reflect on something.
I took down a parenting post I wrote yesterday because I was worried it might some day hurt the feelings of my kids.
But I’m going to leave this one up for prosperity and not even flinch about how embarrassed they’ll be if anyone discovers their Mom writing on the internet about the need for a Ta Ta Towel.
LOVE. (And by the way, my double-D daughter — would that be DDaughter? — said she wants 3 Ta-Ta towels. You are not alone.)
Lol. I actually Read your post yesterday i had exactly the same poor kid in the future feeling. At the same time, it was so good and real and important to read foto parents and non parents who judge and parents who feel the same. So glad i got tot read it and glad you took it down.
Great towel…
I love this product, and since I am old and have saggy boobs, I could probably use it. In my earlier years, with smalls breasts, there would haven’t been anything to hold out down. I remember my excitement the first time I went to Parisian and found that plaits was making the I can’t believe it fits line and I could by a nearly B bra!!!! I don’t sweat much, but I still like this idea. I can also imagine this would be a turn on to the Boob men of the world. One click flick of the wrist and voila- there is a boob. I can also see them for breast feeding Moms. The downside would be that I can see that wearing it a lot could cause neck pain. I don’t imagine my Physical therapist or chiropractor would be fans
Funny Karen- I have a DDaughter, too- I am just trying to figure out where she got those things from. Not her B mother. They must have come from her Dads side of the equation. First her feet grew, then she grew, then her boobs grew. After a month of college, I went there for parents weekend and to visit family and had to buy the kid all new bras. Her whole freshman ten went to 1 place!!!

I feel the same, Janine. I am a former preK teacher and I have seen the kids , the parents, and heard the comments from other parents, other teachers and staff, and sometimes from my own mouth. I have learned a lot from those. Most usually, that it is those stubborn kids that turn out to be leaders.
I did read that post and thank you for that reminder to be kind.
I am ashamed to admit I have made judgments.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought about the neck-pain factor. My ‘girls’ aren’t even that big and I can’t stand the ‘drag’ when I wear a halter-type top. Having said that, it’s still a very awesome invention!
Hi I did read your post and thought how brave it was, this is real mother hood not stylish Instagram photos. I’m not a mother, but I know a few of my friends who are, and some I think, who would have liked to have read your post, they would have nodded and say they understood and have stood in to your shoes. I respect that you respect your kids privacy though and pulled it.
I’m a long time reader from pre Nikki Z days, I stopped reading blogs during a dark time of my own followed by a transitional time when I was teaching in rural Sri Lanka without access to computers. Bliss! But, I returned to see how your were. I was glad to read a few months, that you realised you needed some help to re-balance your brain chemistry ( auto correct changed this word to stitchery… kinda works) and climb out of the pit of darkness and rediscover your joy. Many of us are here to cheer you on and think your doing an excellent job.
P.s. I saw the advert for towel tattas on FB and totally thought of you.
This is going to sound creepy, I guess, and I can only try to assure you I don’t mean it that way … but when I saw an online piece about the ta ta towel a few days ago, I immediately thought of you!
I don’t pretend to need anything exactly similar in the male department, but I have on occasion wished for some terry-cloth shorts / underwear to cool off in, after a run.
I’ve had so many people tell me that! It’s actually hilarious!
