Frazzled McStresspants

This is going to be an insane week. I have so many things I want to write about but the majority of the entries would start out something like, “ASDFJKL;ADFJK;ASDJKFLJKD;ALKJSDFLK JIOERQIOVWE”

I basically would love some positive energy sent my way. My anxiety levels are high (I have my first open-water triathlon this weekend and I’ve thought about skipping it at least 42 times in the last 48 hours) my self-image is on the decline (I’ve decided I’m the worst parent/wife in the world, as we’re all prone to do periodically) and I seem to have fallen into a tiny pit of depression that pales in comparison to my sky-high anxiety levels…but still…DOES NOT HELP MY COPING AT ALL.

So. Here’s a funny picture of Wes from last week. It cracks me up because his eye looks so bad yet…FRENCH FRY!


P.S. His eye is LOADS better now. Still a tiny bit bruised and swollen but it’s not the first thing you see when you look at him anymore. Nope. The first thing you notice now is he’s walking around in his underwear because he’s decided he hates clothes. But that’s another entry for another day.

    I just goes to show that Kids recover from these things much quicker that their parents do.

  2. Hugs to you! We all have our doubts about parenting but that just means you are doing it right!

    Glad his eye is better! Kids are resilient! And hey, it’s summer. No better time to go with no clothes!

    I wish I had your motivation. ..even a fraction of it!! Best of luck to you in the triathlon!

I’m a fellow anxiety sufferer and have found that EFT is hugely helpful when I’m in the midst of an attack (thanks post-partum hormones for triggering that one 😛 ) It’s basically acupuncture, but instead of needles, you just lightly tap on the pressure points. This video is designed for when you’re in the middle of an anxiety attack and need help *right now*.
