Once LilZ got old enough to want to be “scary” for Halloween, I started giving him lectures about how he needed to be careful because he might scare other little kids out trick-or-treating. I didn’t like the idea of kids getting really scared when the saw him and always hoped he’d choose something fun, and not scary. But, of course, he wanted to be scary.
This year was no different, as Michael Meyers was his first choice. I was very worried he’d scare his sister so I was insistent he get her used to the mask by letting her watch him put it on. Well, I looked like a dumbass when she fell in love with the mask and either wants him to wear it all the time (while she laughs and squeals) or she wants to wear it herself.

The mask is scarying me, but the joy on her face is worth it. π
LOL! Stop that! It’s REALLY hard to pretend I’m working when I see pictures like NikkiZ wearing that mask and bust out laughing at my desk. That’s *hysterical*. π
BTW — Yesterday? When you commented on my blog? I felt like a celebrity had visited me! I am all too serious … and now, apparently a L-O-S-E-R. π
Hee! Looks like you have a horror fan in the making. The kids in my family won’t even go down the aisle with the scary costumes and masks.
That mask would TOTALLY scare me, I love that she finds it hilarious!!! I’m such a wuss.
Looks like(from the 2nd shot) that it’s toe curling fun!
M
Boys will be boys (choosing the scary mask)…and NikkiZ will always be cute no matter how scary she tries to be!!!
Your little girl is so stinkin’ cute!
That first photo is great! Pure glee!
I do not like scary movies. So my face would look like that. But not in the happy, squealy kind of way at all.
I love that all you see is her precious red hair through the eye holes!
heehee
So funny. The pictures are great.
oh, that is the best thing ever!
I love her reaction – priceless!
I guess without the context of the movies it is just a guy who needs a new hairdresser and some time in the sun.
The look on her face is the BEST EVER!!! π
Awww. So cute!
Okay that is pretty darn funny. Her expression is just priceless!! Is that her Halloween costume now as well??
So where do those genes come from? Cos I thought you were kinda girly when it comes to scary movie-type stuff??
PS Like Maxine D. up there, I got all excited when you commented on my wee out-of-the-way Scottish blog – like having the Queen over!
OMG I almost passed a peanut m&m through my nose when I saw that second picture – that is good stuff!!!
I wish I had NikkiZ’s guts…if I had seen that when I was her age, I would have screamed bloody murder and hid under my bed for three days.
She is just the cutest. I’m a total wimp when it comes to scary movie stuff.
And LOVE the monkey toes in the 2nd pic!
It is so cute that she thinks that mask is funny!!! The joy on her face is priceless.
Maybe she doesn’t equate it with being scary because she doesn’t have the GORE background we have for it?
I love the look on her face in that first photo!
Freaking adorable. I could weep they’re so cute. Now I want a daughter!
I hope that you don’t mind but I added you as a link on my blog π
HAHAH! That’s awesome! Reminds me of my little girl, not intimidated by anything.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAK! Look away! That terrifying mask has eaten your toddler! SCARY!
(Awesome that she isn’t scared though.)
OK, that’s just hysterical.
Freakin Hilarious!
oh my god!! she is soo cute!! lolol ..
err.. may i ask where you got the mask from?
That is SO cute and funny that she likes it!
My boyfriend went as Michael Myers a couple of years ago, overalls, mask. We went to a bar and they asked him to take off his mask ’cause he was IDed. But we painted his face white under that. hehehe
These are easily some of NikkiZ’s Greatest (Cutest) Hits. SO CUTE!!!!
OHMYGOD — that is fabulous.
Priceless..too cute!
Love halloween!!
When I was a kid the only place I got to watch scary movies was my mom’s house. We never told my dad. That one was one of my faves.
HEE! This made me laugh out loud.
Thats so very cute. I found that same mask in the store yesterday, put it on, and freaked out my two year old. Yeah, he didn’t think it was so funny, but I cracked up.
Michael Meyers SCARES THE EVER-LIVING-HELL-OUTTA-ME.
Seriously. I am more than a little freaked out right now.
I do find it hysterical that your daughter thinks it’s so funny!
LOLOL!! That’s so funny. One of my kids, Ashley, Would have crapped her pants and hid in her closet. She’s terrified of masks. And the remake of the Halloween movie scare her badly. My other gilrs would have probably reacted the same way, lolol
