Holy Freakin’ Hell in a Hand Basket. That bitch made me wait FOUR FREAKIN’ HOURS.

I’m pregnant and my beta is 1221 AND she used the words “which is exactly what we would expect it to be this far along.” I’m never what they expect. Never. And you know what? She doesn’t even want me to take another one! And she said I’m cute and smart and funny too. And she’s soooo sorry she made me wait all day for good news.

HOWEVER – my progesterone was only 26.5, and my doctor would LIKE it to be at 30, so they are prescribing me a supplement. Also? They would like me to call back in the morning and schedule an ultrasound for next week.

And I still swear to all that is fertile and holy that I’m still feeling cramps. What is UP with that?

Thank you GOD for Myllissann and Ben who kept me occupied all day with copius amounts of emails. Just for that? If this baby makes it full term? I’m naming it Silly Old Myllissann. You guys Rock.

  3. Congratulations!!! My better half was crampy and had ALL the symptoms of PMS during her first couple weeks of pregnancy. Then came the nausea and all that good stuff.

    And I’m telling you, the cramps mean things are Happening. Normal pregnancy things. I was crampy and twingy for weeks everything ending up sticking just fine.

  33. I love what others have posted – ya know the phrase “the little bugger”. Makes me laugh at the thought of a little embryo or spec or whatever inside you hanging on with clamped fists and that being the cramping you are feeling. Whatever it is, if the cramps are a sign of a good thing, may you keep having them!

  43. CONGRATS!!! Was so happy to read your post. As fpr cramps I had them with my last pregnancy, thought for sure I was gonna start (at the time we were not trying to get pg) So the pregnancy part was not even on my mind, heck I even had a little spotting, but found out that was due to just coming off birth control…….Anyway I went to the store, looked at the PG tests, decided to take one for the heck of it since I just knew I WASN’t pregnant, well haha fooled me! I was pg with our 4th, lol Anyway I am keeping my fingers crossefd for ya!!

Small animals may be sacrificed (not to worry, I’m thinking ants) and public nudity may be on the agenda. That’s how much I love the Zoot.

  53. Congrats!!! I’m keeping you in my thoughts constantly and hoping that everything goes well.
    Maybe the phantom cramps you’re feeling is just the fact that you’ve been nervous/anxious? Just don’t do anything strenuous and take lots of little breaks at work for some YOU time. If they have a problem, tell us and we’ll take care of it. 😉

  56. Congrats. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. As an aside, when I got pregnant I had the worst cramps of my life — I thought for sure my period would come shooting out in rivers at any moment but it didn’t.
