Suprise!!!

Well…the Zoot 5th Valiversary Extravaganza went off SWIMMINGLY! I don’t have much time – but I will give you the basics. When I found out that LilZ’s Dad would be coming up here this weekend (meaning I wouldnt be driving) I knew that it would be the PERFECT weekend to celebrate our Valiversary. Unfortunately – I found all of that out on Wednesday, which didn’t give me much time to throw something together.

So. I sweet-talked (read: BEGGED) a masseuse at a local spa to stay late last night, along with ONE aesthetician and the owners, and they gave us a four hour spa experience that included candlelight dinner and dessert. We finished the night off with a bottle of champagne in a room at the hotel we were married at. (Valiversary celebrates when we started DATING…we’ve only been married a little over a year).

I am home now – going to get LilZoot ready to take to his Dad’s this morning (he was supposed to go last night – but 10 minutes on the road and he got sick again – so we opted to wait until this morning). I’m going to bring him back to the hotel with me and we are all going to eat breakfast together.

All in all? Perfect. We both enjoyed our first ever massage, and I thoroughly enjoyed my first facial. *sigh* Too bad it’s all over!

  1. That sounds FABULOUS. Only problem with massages is that once you’ve had one, you want them all the time…. if you’re me, anyway. Happy Valiversary!

  2. Massage? I love a good massage. I need one right now actually. I wish they were free. Well, the ones at home are free. Those are different. You can’t buy those. Well, you CAN buy those elsewhere but its not allowed. In most states. This came out all wrong.

  3. What a nice Valiversary! My husband and I had our first date on Feb. 10, so we kinda have a Valiversary as well. We’re using a wedding gift someone got us to celebrate — a free dinner and free nights’ stay at one fo the hotels in DC.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
