I'm addicted to superhero movies, donuts, craft beer, playing in the woods, and reading YA fiction. I'm a writer by day and a dreamer by night.

That Damn Husband Of Mine Hacking My Blog.

So many MANY moons ago – like maybe 8 years? I set up logins for Donnie and Eliah on this blog in case I ever got hit by a bus they could update it and tell the world. Well, someone hacked into my blog yesterday using the MrZoot login and published a bunch of entries about essay writing linking back to content where I’m certain the hackers would have made money off the clicks. My brother texted me and was like, “Um…I’m getting updates from your blog from Donnie.”

If you’re a subscriber, you got 4 emails about those posts and I’m REALLY sorry because I hate being an irresponsible blog owner. I change my password here all the time and it’s the most complicated password I have. But I totally forgot about those other logins. Ooops. My bad.

ANWAY! If you only know to pop by here periodically to read and do NOT subscribe then you probably saw the “Blog Hacked, My Apologies” entry that I published so that the subscribers would see the new email and know what was going on. If you are not sure if you are caught up my last real entry is here and it has to do with my most embarrassing Catholic Church moment. If you read that? You’re caught up! The miscellaneous posts in between were just annoying blog nonsense.

Oh – and while we’re talking blog business. A few of you pointed out that the arrows on the entries that let you go backwards to look at past entries are gone. I updated something and that broke and I just keep meaning to set aside time to either fix it or just do a new theme all together. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I’m back in Knoxville with my Mom for a few days, going to try to get her to and from work for the rest of the week to ease her back into it. I’m going to go to the library and get a library card so I can have a place to hang out while she’s at work. I’m also going to find some group therapy sessions or maybe even a therapist here because if I’m going to be here a lot over the next 6 months, it might be easier to keep up my regular therapy if I have a person here I’m seeing too. I’ve gotten behind and I definitely am feeling it.

If you’re in Knoxville (specifically North Knoxville, Fountain City area, or near Turkey Creek) and like to walk will you reach out? I miss having my walking buddy with Eliah and I don’t really know where to walk around here. I grew up here but a lot has changed.

This was a boring blog post. I have travel brain. Also I’m sleeping in a room at Mom’s that usually belongs to the cat and my allergies HATE it. (The cat hates it too, by the way. He’ll have to get over it. This room is mine for the next 6 months.) So I didn’t sleep well and haven’t had enough coffee yet. (There will never be enough coffee.)

  1. I’m so glad they were spam because i had a busy 4 days so I’m doing the feed read and I started them and wondered if you were going to post soon about your intervention and rehab because they were pretty bad to say the least. Glad the real you is back.

  2. Glad to hear your mom’s on the mend. Good for you for being proactive about finding therapy for yourself.

  3. So this is the worst question/response EVER but it’s driving me a bit nuts…which is not uncommon since things drive me nuts a lot if I’m over-thinking. Why can I not figure out how to navigate to older blog posts here? 🙂

    1. That’s the part about the arrows I was referring to. I updated something on my blog and it messed up my design and I just haven’t gotten around to fixing it yet I know it’s frustrating I’m sorry !

  4. Thank you for updating on the missing arrows. I read you in a feed- or on my phone- or on my laptop- I thought it was just me… where did they go-what I am doing wrong- ugh why am I bad at technology?! etc

Phlbt (:P”) to hackers and nefarious people. Yay to (real) Zoot!
